Chimneys should be swept a minimum of once a season.
Depending on usage we can advise accordingly.
The best time is late Spring/ early Summer to allow your flue to be clean for the rest of the season; reducing corrosion to metal flue liners.

We use a modern powered sweeping system, together with an industrial filtered vacuum to remove soot.
A cleanly laundered sheet will be placed on the floor in front of the fireplace to work from.
Flues are swept from the fireplace and take around 30 - 45 minutes from start to finish to sweep.
A smoke evacuation check is completed to ensure adequate air flow through the flue.
Finally, we supply electronic certification as evidence of the sweep. Your insurance may be invalid if you have a chimney fire with no proof of sweeping.
