Every now and again, your beloved woodburner will need a bit of extra Tender Loving Care to keep it functioning safely and efficiently.

We regularly fit new door rope, install new glass, replace firebricks, baffles, or any other parts necessary to maintain optimal performance. This process may involve more than one visit to ensure the job is completed thoroughly and correctly.

Sometimes, while carrying out a routine chimney sweep, we may discover that something is not in proper working order. In these cases, we will always advise you accordingly, highlighting any issues that need attention. Some repairs are essential for the safe use of your log burner, and there may be occasions when we strongly recommend you refrain from using it until these repairs are fully carried out to protect your safety.

In addition, we advise on and fit carbon monoxide alarms to comply with current building regulations, providing peace of mind. We can also recommend and undertake flaunching repairs around the chimney pot if needed.

On some occasions, older chimneys may require repointing or have other roofing defects; for these, we work closely with a trusted local roofer to carry out the necessary repairs. We can safely access your chimney using ladders or will advise if the use of a hydraulic access platform or scaffolding is required for more complex work.
